Chili Fundraiser and Live Auction!!
On Saturday February 28th, 2009 Fifth
Street Renaissance/SARA Center is hosting a Chili Fundraiser and Live Auction
for the Homeless Veterans of the Springfield area. The fundraiser will be
located at the VFW Northenders Post 10302 at 2349 Stockyard Road, Springfield
from 2pm-10pm.
Festivities begin at 2pm with "Music by Digger" and the Live
Auction starts at 6pm.
Tickets are $5.00 per person and each ticket includes admission
and a bowl of homemade chili or a bowl of soup. Tickets are available at the
door, or at the Post.
Proceeds of this fundraiser will match a $546,000 VA Grant for a
facility for 15 Veterans with barriers to independent living with services
provided by Fifth Street Renaissance/SARA Center (a 501c3 Corp.). A 6,000 sq ft,
fifteen bedroom facility with a day room, kitchen, laundry, computer room, and
exercise room will be built in Springfield.

Upcoming Art Auction
On Saturday April 18th, 2009 Fifth Street Renaissance along with
AJ Ross Auctions will host an art auction which will be held at Ansar Shrine
located at 630 S. Sixth Street in Springfield.
The preview of art will begin at 6pm and the auction will begin at
7pm.
Admission will be $10 per person and wine and cheese will be
