Campout 4 Unhoused Veterans - Virtual Event

Why: To raise awareness of military Veterans experiencing homelessness in our community. Also, to raise funds for Spring Street Veterans Renaissance, Veterans Family Renaissance and other programs provided by Fifth Street Renaissance that serve local Veterans and their families to become self-sufficient and overcome barriers to independence.

Who: Everyone! Families, church groups, businesses...anyone interested in helping are encouraged to participate.

How: Donations can be made on our Secure Fundraising Page.

Please note: General donations or donations from campsite sponsors can be made at the event itself or using the link above. When donating to a particular campsite sponsor or fundraiser, please use the comment field of the donation form to state who you are donating for!

Join us throughout the day on Thursday November 5th, for donation challenges, informational posts, videos, and more! Attend our live stream featuring our Executive Director, Penny Powell, local dignitaries, donors and participants as they camp out from their backyards, living rooms and more! Be sure to follow us on Facebook and encourage your friends to follow us as well!

“Raise the rent” and earn your camp site for the event by collecting pledges or donating to Fifth Street Renaissance (we suggest at least $100, but any pledges are accepted).  Donations can be presented in cash/check at the event, made through our website at the secure fundraising link above.

Ways to participate before and on November 5th;

• Donate directly to Fifth Street Renaissance through the secure link above, or on the day of the event.

• Commit to sponsor a camp out of your own. We will help you promote your cause. Raise sponsors and commit to camp out in your yard for a night. A camp out sponsorship form can be found on our webpage.

• Attend breakfast at one of our many establishments supporting this event on November 5th. A percentage of your order will go towards helping unhoused veterans.

• Forgo lunch for the day. Donate what you would spend towards lunch. Encourage your co-workers and friends to do the same.

• 22 Challenge - The number 22 has often been associated with veteran suicide awareness. At 2:22 PM commit to donating funds to combat veteran suicide.

• Dinner / Happy Hour Event - Sponsor a meal with friends and family or sponsor a happy hour. Encourage your guests to commit to donating for Fifth Street Renaissance Veterans Programs.
