Outreach Programs

THE NIGHTREACH PROGRAM
The Nightreach Program serves Springfield and all of Central and Southern Illinois. HIV, Hepatitis C, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia counseling and mobile testing services are offered during evening and late-night hours (primarily 6pm-4am) in locations where high-risk behavior (drug activity, sex activity, etc.) is known to occur. The aim of this program is harm reduction in whatever form that might take.

NASAL NARCAN TRAINING & DISTRIBUTION

Education on overdose recognition, prevention, and instruction on how to use nasal Narcan in case of emergencies. This program connects those who want to stop abusing opiates to assistance in the form of referrals for support groups, meetings, and other resources.

HEPATITIS B OUTREACH
Referral program for hepatitis B testing, treatment, and education for foreign-born African and Asian immigrants.

THE PANDEMIC HEALTH NAVIGATOR PROGRAM
Created to meet the needs of those who test positive for COVID-19 and need to quarantine in their homes. Delivery of food, sanitation supplies, and financial assistance to purchase medication or cover other essentials.

COVID VACCINATION OUTREACH PROGRAM
The goal of this project is to team up with vaccination clinics to encourage community participation. This takes the form of distributing information, dispelling myths, and driving or guiding people to the vaccination site.

WRAPAROUND SERVICES FOR COVID VACCINATION EVENTS
This program travels to various mass vaccination events throughout the state to provide all of our mobile health services. We prioritize communities in need, focusing on underserved or disenfranchised areas.
