About the Event
This is my 20th year as Executive Director of Fifth Street Renaissance and in celebration of 20 years and my birthday in December, I have pledged to raise $20,000 through my One Woman Walk for Fifth Street Renaissance. The money will help our oldest transitional housing program to survive a funding cut that threatens the services and housing for single men and women experiencing homelessness.
The concept is simple, on December 9th and 10th I will walk, to just about anywhere, to collect funds raised through a collection at your workplace, by having a bake sale, gathered from friends and family or just your own personal donation. My Walk can help save our transitional housing program that has served the Springfield Community for nearly 40 years and changed or saved the lives of thousands.
Anyone who donates at least $100 will be invited to join me on the evening of the 10th for food (catered by me), music and merriment.
